Retinal laser training on the PixEyes retinal simulator is available to any junior doctor who wants to learn laser techniques before attempting this on a live patient. It is our belief that this simulator experience should be mandatory for all trainees.

Book a session (or sessions) on the PixEyes laser simulator. Watch a series of lectures on our workstation (including laser safety training) when you attend for the simulator sessions. Practice reading fluorescein angiograms, assessment of fundus images and then deliver treatment with the “laser”. Cases available include diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, and retinal tear. The fee includes the lectures, instructions and unlimited use of the simulator (this must be booked). 

The workstation and simulator cannot be used during tutorials or study days.
